To keep a lamp burning we have to
keep putting oil in it.”
-- Mother Teresa

Comfort and heal survivors’
emotional wounds after sexual abuse
·
Prevent child abuse by teaching
positive discipline methods to parents
·
Empower women as they recover from
domestic violence
·
Help families and individuals
successfully manage life’s daily challenges

Gifts of appreciated securities
One way to reduce your tax on the gain of stocks, bonds, and
other securities is to donate them to Family Service. A gift of
appreciated securities generally qualifies not only for an income tax
deduction, but also avoids long-term capital gains tax.
|
Gifts of life insurance
An
often overlooked gift, easy to give, is all or part of a life insurance
policy no longer needed for its original purpose. By making Family Service
the owner of the policy, the premiums you pay are tax deductible.
|
Bequests from your will
The most familiar type of bequest is a general bequest,
which specifies that Family Service will receive a designated sum from or
a predetermined percentage of your estate.
Bequests help ensure Family Service’s ability to meet the ups and
downs in funding from traditional sources such as government grants.
